Born in Spain and resident of Los Angeles, Juan J. Colomer has
worked with such personalities as James Levine, Plácido Domingo,
Christian Lindberg, José Carreras, and orchestras like the Vienna
Symphony, Orchestre de Paris, Orchestra & Chorus of the Arena di
Verona, Orchestra of Palau de les Arts among many others. His works may
be heard on Deutsche Grammophon, Sony Classical or Decca.
He collaborates regularly with Spanish Brass for whom he has written many pieces including “La Devota Lasciva (The Lascivious Devout)” for Quintet & Orchestra. He has commissions, premieres and recordings of his works scheduled well into the 2009 season.
In addition, he has scored over 30 films. Juanjo Colomer is one of the most prominent emerging figures in the contemporary music scene.

Commission for Symphony Orchestra by the National Orchestra of Spain. To be premiered on June 30th. 2008 at the National Auditorium, Madrid (Spain) conducted by Maestro José Luis Temes.

Multimedia Piece for Wind Orchestra and traditional folk elements commissioned by the City Council of Gallur (Spain). Scheduled to premiere during the summer of 2008.
